I think there is a good chance that Reese brings in a young experiences MLB before the draft (either by signing an RFA or some kind of trade).

If that happend who do we draft?

I know the obvious answer is best player available, but any thoughts?

I realise there are alot of variables including the level of compensation given, but it is an interesting thought.

If it's Demeco Ryans then the Giants go in a different direction in the draft. Maybe defensive tackle or defensive back in the first.
That is if their plan is to target linebacker at all in the first.

If it's Morrison. It won't change the Giants draft philosophy much. If they feel good about a first round linebacker talent then they'll still get him.
Morrison could probably fill the void at strongside as well.

I agree with td. A lot has to do with who we get. The price for ryans is to high IMO. Morrison really struggles vs the run I'm not so sure the NFC east is the place for him. I rather take my chances in the draft and with goff before parting ways with a 3rd for him. I'm high on trading for hawk but whether it's hawk or Morrison we will need to get a stud at dt. So that will become our next priority. And then draft another backer for that just incase hawk/Morrison is really that bad.

I think you both are right on the money.

If we bring in a vet then I think it will be someone viewed as a starter (which is why I don't think it will be Morrison)
