Here is a trade idea

Sinorice Moss/Brian Kehl (or similar) to Tampa Bay for Derrick Ward.

We know we have guys that are unlikely to make the final roster due to number and these guys do have legitimate talent.

Derrick Ward seems to be on the outer in Tampa Bay, and is reportedly in danger of being cut.

We know Ward fits into our system well and he gives us that but he certainly would fit back. Ward can slot right into the 3rd down RB role, he can pass block well, has decent hands and can run well out of the shotgun.

It means we would get Ward for effectively a 3 year- $11 deal with no guaranteed money.
2010: $3.25 million, 2011: $3.75 million, 2012: $4 million, 2013: Free Agent

I think Kehl would fit well into a genuine Tampa 2

I am just not really sold on our RBs at this point.

I really like Andre Brown, but he has some ways to go with his pass protection. With time he will be ok.

Ware is ok, but has yet to take hold of his many opportunities and really is a work in progress

Johnson is solid, but is no big play threat


Lets go back to Earth, Wind and Fire (or perhaps Earth, Wind, Fire and Lightning)

They need depth at both positions. But there are other options such as Tollefsen or even a conditional late round draft pick. From the bucs point of view, that is still better than cutting him.

But I think it more likely for Reese to wait for Ward to be cut. If that does happen, and bets on a return to NYG?

I hear they plan on cutting Ward.
