With SNY being a dominant New York Jets programming channel, the New York Giants were bound to get their programming some where. The announcement today has made many Giants fans happy.

The Giants and Madison Square Garden Network have reached an agreement for Giants programming on both MSG and MSG Plus starting Sunday, September 19th, 2010.

From the MSG Network press release:

"MSG announced today that it will telecast New York Giants football programming on both MSG Network and MSG Plus. The agreement with the Giants comprises five weekly programs, including Coach Tom Coughlin’s Wednesday press conference, a Tuesday “rewind” program, and three consecutive Sunday morning shows.

The programming lineup begins every week on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. on MSG Network with “Giants Opening Drive Live,” a 30-minute preview show hosted by Harry Carson and Anita Marks. The program will be telecast live from the Timex Performance Center and the New Meadowlands Stadium parking lot for home games and from MSG’s studios when the team is on the road.

At 10:00 a.m., immediately following “Giants Opening Drive Live,” Bob Papa will join Marks for “Giants Game Day.” The half-hour pre-taped program will include three segments: a one-on-one interview with Papa and a Giants player; a game strategy session with Carl Banks; and a roundtable discussion with Marks, Papa and local writers. At 10:30 a.m. Papa returns for “Giants Chronicles,” a 30-minute taped program that will offer an in-depth look at the career of a Giants legend.

Tuesday nights at 11:00 p.m. on MSG Plus, Papa and Banks will host “Giants Rewind.” The taped, 30-minute show will take a look back at the team’s game from that weekend. On Wednesdays, MSG Network will telecast Coach Tom Coughlin’s press conference live at 11:00 a.m. The press conference will then be repackaged into a 30-minute taped special, hosted by Marks, and will be telecast later that night at 11:00 p.m."
